Mexico is a tide of colors and contrasts. Comforts and sins have been bestowed on a people by themselves and others. People the color of the earth and people colored by wants and desires. Ancestors in the stones, watching intently from trees and plants. Beliefs, deep roots to the past. The present. The quest for dignity and identity jumble together and make what has been and what will be.
Understanding the language for me would make things easier. With a camera I hope to translate. Tread softly. The richness of a glance, the richness of an act of living. The eyes, the lips, the profile, the nod of the head. Together for the moment. Contours, context, the real. Scattered shards of dreams. The instance of a gesture, a movement, within the wrap of Mexico.
